Chekhov Laughs (2021)

A series of one act comedies with musical interludes

Chekhov Laughs is Pajoda's take on Chekov, a series of three delightful one-act Chekhov comedies (The Evils of Tobacco, The Bear, and The Proposal) with interludes of Russian folksongs that got audiences clapping along. Chekhov Laughs was performed at Ye Old Rose and Crown in Walthamstowe in August 2021.

Paul Robinson

Director, Producer, Actor (Ivan Ivanovich Nyukhin, Luka, and Stepan Chubukhov)

After working in education for many years, Paul retrained at the City Lit in London to become an actor. Paul has starred in two Nollywood feature films: Bridge and Desperate Mission. Professional stage work has included Canon Chasuble in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest, Baloo the Bear in ‘Mowgli’, and John Calvin in ‘Here I Stand.’
